SLAM DUNK SCPECTACLE
This exciting tournament brought together 14 teams from different schools, all ready to show their skills, teamwork, and love for the game. What made this event even more special is that there was NO registration fee, giving every school a fair chance to join, compete, and shine on the court.
THE ICI UNITY ARENA: The Court Where Courage, Cheers, and Campions Rise
“What happens when 14 teams, one court, and unstoppable passion collide?”
UNFORGETTABLE TOURNAMENT
The ICI-Gitagum hosted the First Northern Mindanao Invitational Basketball that welcomed both Junior High School and Senior High School students. Young players stepped onto the court with nervous smiles, while experienced ones played with confidence and fire. Each team carried the pride of their school, knowing that every game mattered.
Every match was challenging, intense, and full of action. Players ran fast, defended hard, and fought for every point. The games were not easy. They tested strength, focus, and teamwork. But despite the pressure, the players still enjoyed every moment, smiling after good plays and helping each other up after tough falls.
Some players even got injured during the games, yet, their courage stood out. Even while hurt, they showed sportsmanship, determination, and respect for the game. These moments reminded everyone that basketball is not just about winning, but about heart and bravery.

FINAL STANDINGS & CHAMPIONS
The hard work on the court came with exciting prizes:
Champion – P3,000 AND GOLD MEDALS
Second Places – P2,000 AND SILVER MEDALS
Third Places – P1,000 AND BRONZE MEDALS
But more than the money, the real prize was the experience, the lessons learned, the confidence gained, and the memories that will stay forever.
The ICI Unity Tournament proved that sports can bring people together. It built teamwork, discipline, and friendship. It showed that students can be strong, brave, and respectful competitors. Win or lose, every player walked off the court with pride.
This event was not just a tournament. It was a reminder that passion, effort, and unity make a school stronger.
As the final whistle blew and the cheers slowly faded, one thing became clear:
The Gitagum Municipal Gymnasium was not just where games were played. It was where young champions were made.
So once again, lace up your shoes, raise your banners, and fill the arena with energy in the future.
This is ICI Unity Tournament. Where young athletes rise, schools unite, and legends begin.

”Dear ICI-GAS- I hate Mondays and I always feel sleepy in class. Any tips? “
Tips to stay awake? Sit in front. It’s harder to stay awake when the teacher can see your soul. Fear is the best ALARM CLOCK. When the teaher looks at you sleeps disappeares immediately or when you feel sleepy, sit suddenly like you just remembered you destiny is bigger than your nap.
“Dear ICI-GAS– I feel like I’m not smart enough compared to others. How do I fell better?”
Let me remind you, you shouldn’t compare yourself with others in a bad way. If you want to feel better, find out what you are good. Also, don’t be afraid of asking others okay? It’s not stupid to ask questions to others. Then, try out things, see if you’re comfortable or not. Finding out what you can do or not makes you feel a lot more confident since you now know yourself.
“Dear ICI-GAS– My partner hates when I wear “TOO MUCH’’ make-up. How do I make them understand this is for me, not for others?”
First of all, no matter what they say or what your parner says, stay conft. Don’t wear makeup for an audience, wear it for your own spotlight. Some people go to gym to feel power. Some dress sharp to feel confident. You? You hit the mirror, grab your makeup, you blend it, bake it and boom you are ready to take the world. Let them know that your make-up isn’t about impressing anyone. It’s about expressing yourself. Not everyone will understand what makes you feels good and thst’s okay. But a partner should respect it. it’s for you. It’s your art, your therapy. At the end of the day, makeup washes off. Confidence doesn’t.

“Dear ICI-GAS- I’m having a hard time getting along with my parents. How do we improve our relationship?
It’s really brave for you to admit that. A lot of teens go through this, and it doesn’t mean your family is broken—it just means you are all still learning how to understand each other. Choose a calm moment to talk and clearly explaining how you feel without blaming them. Be specific about a problem, listen to their side and suggest a fair compromise o both sides feel heard. Show responsibility in small daily ways like chores, updating them your plans.
