MISSION & GOALS

  • Classes are structured to help students demonstrate competency in the 3 learning domains: Cognitive, Affective and Psychomotor. Students will be able to apply movement concepts and principles to the learning and development of motor skills.

LEARNING DOMAINS

  • AFFECTIVE – 15% = Good sportsmanship, working well with others, appropriate language use.
  • PSYCHOMOTOR – 50% = participation (dressing, being prepared for class, attendance)
  • COGNITIVE – 35% = notebooks, projects and test

  • For the sweaters, you may write their first & last name inside the hood or inside the garter at the bottom of the sweater.
  • For PE ONLY

NON SUIT/ NON DRESS POLICY

  • Students are expected to dress daily for PE.
  • If the student has forgotten their clothes, loaner clothes will NOT be available.
  • Students who forget to bring PE clothes will get a non-suit, which will result in a loss of points, note home to parents and afterschool detention.

NON SUIT/ NON DRESSPOLICY

  • Los estudiantes deben vestirse diariamente para PE.
  • Si el estudiante ha olvidado de su ropa, ropa de préstamo no estará disponible.
  • Los estudiantes que se olviden de traer ropa PE recibirá un no-traje, que resultar en una pérdida de puntos, Casa Nota para padres y detención después de clases.

  • Students will know how to make goals to improve their fitness

NOTEBOOK

  • Bring everyday
  • Must be signed by the teacher before the end of class
  • Students can only write in Blue/black/pencil
  • If the student has wrecked his/her folder or lost their packets, they may be asked to replace it.

  • After each activity students will answer questions regarding the activity and get a signature from the teacher. Each signature at the end of the unit is worth 5 points
