Right! /ng/ is the sound we hear in the beginning or initial position of these words?

ng” are the letters making that sound?

song clang ring

How many sounds do you hear? How many letters make that one sound? All of these words end with the /ng/ sound. Digraph ng must be the letters making the /ng/ sound. Ng is a digraph. Is ‘ng’ a vowel or a consonant digraph? (consonant digraph) Explain Digraphs and how to code. The vowels are coded with breves because they are followed by a consonant.
