Refugees Welcome Australia

Mapping empty dwellings and matching refugees with hosts

  • Presence across the country (Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, etc.)
  • Helps refugees finding a long term accommodation and matches them with mentors
  • Partnerships with Sydney D4D: supporting them with various data projects
  • Main objectives at this stage are:
    • signing up more potential hosts
    • optimizing their onboarding process

    • Slack is a collaborative software that is utilized as a community platform to communicate , share and integrate their workspace all in a chat interface
  • Where
    • Initial access to slack can be entering the workspace on the slack site directly(More on workspaces coming below!)after you create an account
    • Or provide your email-id and and the admin will let you in!
  • How
    • Slack can divided into two main components workspaces and channels
    • For D4D , new projects are tracked by its respective channel #p-<projectname>
