Introduction
Have you ever heard of Nathan Hale? I was a teacher first but than became a patriot spy in 1776.
Birth/Family
I was born on a farm in June 6,1755 in Coventry, Connecticut. My dad’s name was Deacon Richard Hale, and he is a wealthy farmer. My mom’s name was Elizabeth Stong. My brother’s name was Enoch Hale. I died on 1776 september 22. My wife's name is Ann.
Education/Career
Me and my brother went to Yale College at 14 years old with his brother Enoch. When I grew up, he was a teacher in East Haddam and New London. Later in life I became a patriot spy during the Revolutionary War.
Famous for
I am famous for sneaking into the british campgrounds and taking notes. Also because I was hung and my last words were “I only regret that I have but one life to lose for my country”. Also because I was one of the first known American spies of the Revolutionary War.
Interesting Facts
I was a middle child in my family. I was the great grandson of Reverend John Hale, a prominent figure during the Salem Witch Trials in 1692.
