Summary of 5/23/22 Meeting

  • The Committee reviewed and discussed the updated health metrics. We discussed a large uptick in recent cases both locally and within the schools which we will continue to monitor closely.
  • The Committee discussed a large number of reported COVID cases, over 30, resulting from last week’s Junior Harbor Cruise. The Committee expressed concern that students/staff may miss end of year events if cases continue to climb.
  • The Committee suggests that the superintendent recommend that students/staff wear masks for now, consistent with our Mask Friendly environment and to empower students/families/staff to be aware of the increased positive cases and the possible impact on school and end of the year activities.
  • The Committee will meet again on 5/31/22
