BP and AP 2905

  • Starting Jan 3, 2022 it becomes a condition of employment
  • All employees must have EITHER proof of vaccination or approved medical/religious exemptions on file with Human Resources
  • Exemptions will take at least 10 business days to review/receive approval
  • If you have an approved exemption, and you are working remotely for your assignment, there is no need to submit weekly COVID test (unless you are coming to the campus)
  • BOT will further discuss this item in the December BOT meeting (unlikely to be reversed)

Pay

  • Hybrid- All late/delayed hybrid pay will be paid on December 17, 2021
    • Period: Aug-Oct for the late approvals
    • Period: Oct for the original approvals
  • Hybrid- Will also receive another hybrid check for Nov and Dec (going forward)
  • Juneteenth- Faculty who worked on Juneteenth will receive a lump sum payment on their December 3, 2021 paycheck (district had not paid 1.5X per the MOU)
  • Large class- appears mostly on the 5th regular or 5th supplemental check- line item “professional development”

Negotiations

  • Actively negotiating 2 MOUs and 1 CBA
  • CBA- made good progress overall, but too far apart with the District regarding our economic package- will most likely go to impasse
  • Working on Spring 2022 MOU regarding hybrid pay, social distancing and class cap
  • Working on impacts of BP 2905 (mandatory vaccination) MOU

Spring 2022

  • Optimum HQ will stay
  • Check in kiosks will stay
  • On campus testing will stay, but most likely different vendor
  • Social distancing and 50% class cap will stay
  • Plexiglass will stay
  • No more C19 liaisons- call dean/area manager first, then Dr. Elizabeth Miller’s office for student conduct

Summer and Fall 2022

  • No more social distancing, no more class caps
  • Most likely indoor masking
  • CCFF is surveying faculty on your thoughts about summer and fall, please complete it by Dec 17, 2021 by 5pm
  • Administration is aware of the need to bring the Return to Campus Taskforce groups back to revisit the conversation
