หน่วยการเรียนรู้นี้มีจุดมุ่งหมายให้นักเรียนเข้าใจประโยค Passive Form เพื่อใช้ในการสื่อสารเกี่ยวกับการผลิตสิ่งต่างๆ ขึ้นมา นักเรียนจะได้อ่านข้อความบรรยายแหล่งที่มาของสิ่งต่างๆ ฟังข้อความบรรยายการผลิตผ้าฝ้าย พูดเกี่ยวกับสิ่งต่างๆ ที่ผลิตในประเทศไทย และเขียนบรรยายวัสดุที่ใช้ในการแต่งกาย นอกจากนี้นักเรียนยังได้เรียนรู้คำศัพท์ต่างๆ เกี่ยวกับผลิตภัณฑ์ รวมทั้งหน้าที่ทางภาษา โครงสร้างประโยคไวยากรณ์ที่เป็นพื้นฐานของกิจกรรม การฟัง พูด อ่าน �และเขียนในหน่วยการเรียนรู้นี้

คำศัพท์

• ตัวไหมจะกินใบหม่อนเป็นอาหารและต้องใช้ใบหม่อนจากต้นหม่อนมากกว่า 25 ต้นต่อเส้นไหมน้ำหนัก 3 กิโลกรัม เส้นไหมมีความแข็งแรงมากกว่าเส้นโลหะที่มีขนาดเท่ากัน และแข็งแรงกว่าฝ้ายถึง 30 เท่า
• สีของฝ้ายที่ปลูกดั้งเดิมนั้นไม่ได้มีแค่สีขาว แต่ยังมีสีอื่นด้วย เช่น สีน้ำตาลและสีม่วงอ่อน
• โดยทั่วไปแล้วแกะจะถูกตัดขนปีละครั้ง และได้ปริมาณขนแกะประมาณ 3-5 ปอนด์
