Courage

What is Courage?
Courage is facing your fears, standing up for beliefs, overcoming failure, not being afraid. Pushing further then what can be done for yourself.
Examples of Courage
One example of courage is when you are scared to do something but you decide to do it because you have the courage to do it.
Another example of courage is standing up for yourself. For example Rosa Parks would have had to have a lot of courage to stand up for herself when the bus driver told her to move off the seat.
Nelson Mandela is also another example of courage. Nelson Mandela had to have a lot of courage to stand up for change in South Africa because he probably knew that there would be consequences but he still did it. He had to spend 25 years in prison just because he stood up for the black people and he stood up for what he believed in. Nelson Mandela also showed courage by choosing to get expelled from his school other than choosing to lean down for the white people.
Personal Connections with Courage
I have showed courage by standing up for myself and what I believe. I went to camp wanting to do every activity I got the chance to do, and I did.
