MESSAGE FROM OUREXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Like most nonprofit organizations 2021 was a very challenging year due to COVID, however our board adopted a strategic framework to describe how the organization accomplishes its mission. This framework has served as a guide for determining whether a project is an appropriate “fit” for PAFC upon initiation and supports goal setting and development of desired outcomes and success measures.

The framework describes four strategies PAFC utilized when developing projects and programs: Connect, Explore, Empower/Inform, and Sustain.

We also concentrated on retaining our volunteers. PAFC has always had a great volunteer base, which empowers us to identify challenges within our communities and create innovative sustainable solutions. Our volunteers take the project from beginning to end. Our volunteers gave over 2,690 hours of their time during 2021.

We plan to continue to connect people and groups, explore key community challenges, and empower aging residents and community leaders to make decisions to improve the quality of life for our entire county.
