JESUS: A SHOW & TELL MINISTRY

Show and Tell in the Ministry of Jesus:

• 23 Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people. (Matthew 4:23)
• Jesus proclaimed the good news (tell)
• Jesus demonstrated the good news with healing (show)
• Jesus ties his miraculous works that give evidence that the Father sent Him to the same works that His disciples would do in his name, and greater works. He then ends with saying "Anything you ask in my name I will do it" in John 14:11-14:

11 Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves. 12 Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. 13 And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14 You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it. (John 14:11-14)

Healing as Engagement

Visible needs? Do you see visible pain, bandages, or other visible signs? �(Acts 3:1-10)

Offer prayer / Miracle Question. - “Do you have anything you would like prayer for?” (Mark 10:51)

Listen to God (words of knowledge) - �(1 Corinthians 14:25, John 1:48, John 4:16, Mark 5:1-20)�

Gather helpful information

1-10? (Builds faith, Reference point) - �(Mark 8:22-26)

• Natural (Often you can assume it is a natural condition until you discover otherwise)
• Emotional/Identity - (John 5:1-14) (v.6)
• Sin - (James 5:13-16)
• Unforgiveness - (Matthew 18:21-25, 35)
• Spiritual/Demonic - (Acts 5:16)

• Command
• Healing - Acts 3:6 (Speak to condition)
• Deliverance - Mark 1:25-26
• Invite Holy Spirit - Acts 5:15-16
