Stakeholders who are low income staffs and researchers, designers and architects work together. it is an interactive process. YTU low income household community engaged throughout the design process. Deep understanding of their needs and wants and creating inclusive, innovative design for low income staffs.

WANTS AND NEEDS

Creating workshop with the low income staffs reveals their problems in daily life and aim to solve their own challenges. Lighting and ventilation are essential for their living quality and separate activity spaces like leisure activities, house chores and sleeping spaces are wanted.

Participatory design approach reinforces the importance of involving end-users throughout the design process. It highlights the value of empowering users to actively contribute their knowledge, insights, and perspectives and it relies on collaboration, dialogue, and effective communication between designers, users, and stakeholders. Through this process, architects gain insights into the challenges and aspirations of the users, and users gain a deeper understanding of the design considerations.
