Land Acknowledgement
We would like to begin by recognizing that we are on Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded lands of the Mi’kmaq people. This land that sustains and teaches us in reciprocity. I acknowledge that we, treaty peoples of this land, must live, love, grow, and learn together to create sustainable reconciliation.
2
People’s Acknowledgement
I would like to acknowledge the Black Afrikan ancestors who embody resilience and courage. We invite the ancestors, with their wisdom and perseverance, to guide us, that the Afrikan sun will always shine through our eyes, and the sound of its drums always beat in our hearts as they generate and sustain our living legacy in the Diaspora

Course Substitutions for grades 11/12
Global Substitutions - this year, PowerSchool used this process to replace mandatory courses. For example - if you signed up for Global Politics and it didn't fit in your schedule, it was replaced with one that did - Adv. Global History or Global Sustainable Solutions. Same for grade 11 - if you asked for Mi'kmaq Studies and it didn't fit, it was replaced with Canadian History or African Canadian Studies. Final example - Construction Trades - replaced with Production Technology 12
