We will discuss linear equations, inequalities, and functions. We will practice making sense of the problem with reasoning, precision, and modeling.

Classroom Rules & Expectations

  • Come to class on time and prepared with the necessary materials.
  • Be ready to learn when the bell rings.
  • Respect each other, the teacher, projects and class supplies.
  • Participate in class without creating distractions. This includes excessive talking, noises, distracting items, or horseplaying.
  • Remain in your assigned seat during instruction and do not get up unless given permission to move around the room.
  • Do not leave the classroom for any reason without permission. Use your planner. Go to the bathroom between classes.
  • The ending bell is a signal that class has ended but please wait for the teacher to dismiss class.
  • Have a growth mindset.

Attendance

Your academic success in this class relies heavily on your presence, participation, and understanding of concepts.

Absences: If you are absent it is your responsibility to make up any missing work. You will be allowed one week (five school days) to make up any missing assignments. If you are going to be absent, please see the teacher prior to missing class to get work.

Late Work Policy Late work will be accepted up to one week past the due date with penalties and a conference with the teacher.

Technology Policy

Cell phones must be off and out of sight. If they are visible they will be confiscated. You will be able to listen to music at times during your independent working time but it must be through your Chromebook. Headphones must be used to eliminate any noise.

Progressive Discipline
