- Anti-bullying policy document – updated in 2019.

  • Hillhead Primary School

- Developed ‘position Paper’ in 2017/18 – added to Promoting Positive Behaviour Policy.� - Updated in 2020 – to include flow chart of school’s response/Parent friendly.� - Updated in August 2023 – to include new definition of bullying (Respect Me).

What we do in school

  • Whole School initiatives�- Emotion Works (Year 3)�- Developing a new Promoting Positive Relationships Policy (year 1)�- United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) (towards Silver)�- Glasgow’s Restorative Approaches Framework (3-5 year plan begins in August 2024)�- Lifelink Counselling/Art Therapy/Flourish Programme/Yoga and Mindfulness/Seasons for Growth
  • Staff Training�- Emotion Works – approaches and language�- Respect Me modules (specific to dealing with bullying incidents)
  • Our Health and Wellbeing Curriculum�- Every stage has 6-8 weeks of specific anti-bullying/anti-racism input.�- The Relationships and Sexual Health Programme (RSHP)
  • In our classrooms - Code of Conduct/Class Charter.�- Bubble Time/Classroom Comment Boxes.
  • Circle Time (a forum for talking and listening to all views).
  • Assemblies (Anti-Bullying/Anti-Racism focus in October/November)
