Sinful Soils
The seeds on the hard ground could not sprout at all, and became engulfed immediately.
Hard Ground
Stony Ground
The seeds on the stony ground were able to begin to grow. However, its roots could not go far, and it withered in the sun.
Holy Soils
The seeds on the thorny ground could grow, but the number of thorns outnumbered them.

I follow God, but my friends limit me from growing my relationship with him.
I follow God, but I am often swayed by worldly temptations.
God is our world, not those new shoes, that new song, that cool iphone. Reading the bible can help us to understand this. Romans 8 is a great place to start
You are who you hang out with. The best thing to do is to pray for them, and try to teach them the word of God. If they continue to sin, forgive them and try your best to distance yourself.
Prayer

A brief prayer on growing ourselves in “good soil”
Dear Lord, I come before you with a humble heart, seeking to deepen my relationship with you. I know that you are the source of all wisdom, strength, and love, and I long to draw closer to you each day. Lord, help me to understand your will and your ways. Lord, I know that I am not perfect, and that I will make mistakes along the way. But I also know that you are a gracious and forgiving God, and that your love never fails. So I ask that you would continue to pour out your grace upon me, and help me grow even closer to you. In Jesus name I pray,
Amen.
