Art for the Week of March 30
Choose at least one activity from the list below.
Students may select activities in other age groups,
but the activities may have unfamiliar vocabulary and/or concepts.
All Ages | Found Object Color Wheel Find Objects of all different colors from around the room. Arrange them in Color Wheel Order. Before you put everything away, take a picture or post a video to flipgrid. | Pets Draw a picture of one of your pets. If you don’t have any pets, draw a picture of your fantasy pet. | Let’s Build Using 3D objects (legos, blocks), construct a building or mode of transportation. |
2nd & 3rd | Weaving with Nontraditional Materials You will need to find or make a grid and string or ribbon. Make a weaving using any materials you can find. (Hint: You can use the bag from your oranges or a plastic basket) | Drawing from Life Create a collection of a few of your favorite things and draw them together. | Using Symmetry Make a creation using symmetry. Challenge: Use Legos to make a design with radial symmetry. |
4th - 6th | Sewing Practice using stitches. Instead of fabric, you could practice on nontraditional materials listed above.) | Drawing from Life Using any media, create an artwork of a room in your house or outside your house. | Spread Some Kindness The attached resources includes coloring sheets by Matt Hoffmann. Create your own message and share with others. |
