• 2009 - BCS Championship head coach Larry Coker hired to lead program’s first team
• 2011 – First season of competition as FCS independent. Set inaugural football game attendance record
• 2012 – Competes in the Western Athletic Conference as transition FBS member
• 2013 – Begins competition in C-USA
• 2016 – First bowl appearance
• 2017 – First win over a Power 5 program
