The Search – A New Lesson with an old (but evolving) handout

With Pen in Hand do a close reading of the quotes on your handout – write, write, write – cover these sheets with your writing. You will have 15 minutes (plan your time so you can cover all of the quotes but make sure you start with the quotes based on your Row (you must (at least) cover all of the quotes in the appropriate column):

EVERYONE starts with the box in the upper left preschool..grammar school, etc.) and THEN

EVERYONE: That box in upper left (preschool, grammar school, high school, etc)

Row/Focus 1: Column 1 (Left Page) Row/Focus 2: Column 2 (and middle box) (Left Page)

Row/Focus 3: Column 1 (Right Page) Row/Focus 4: Column 2 (middle-Right Page)

Row/Focus 5: Column 3 (Right Page)

Draw an Arrow connecting the ideas and a few words w/ each arrow, so you can explain your connection – add your own “search ideas” (during isolation, protests, etc.) as you connect these quotes

IF YOU COULDN’T PRINT THIS OUT – ABBREVIATE the Quote name and write extensive notes on a separate sheet of paper.ie: GG + Great Gatsby Huds = Hudson TTA = Tintern Abbey, etc….
