Hosted by Berkeley RDI, the 3rd Annual Summit on Decentralization & AI (DeAI) 2025 brings together researchers, innovators, thought leaders, and builders to explore responsible innovation in decentralization and AI for the benefit of humanity.
The event focuses on how AI/ML and decentralization technologies can complement each other and how to develop a fully decentralized, open-source AI/ML stack.
This summit serves as a platform for researchers from diverse fields—AI/ML, security, privacy, game theory, economics, and decentralization technology—to collaborate and advance discussions in this evolving space.
Past Summits have demonstrated remarkable engagement, with the 2024 NYC event drawing over 500 in-person attendees, and the 2023 Summit at UC Berkeley attracting over 1,000 in-person attendees.
Both Summits have attracted many thousands of livestream viewers. With momentum building in this critical space, we expect 2025 to be a banner year for decentralization and AI!

DeAI ‘25 & The Science of Blockchain Conference 2025
DeAI ‘25 will again be hosted prior to the Science of Blockchain Conference (SBC).
Since 2017, SBC has been a pivotal event in bringing together researchers and practitioners to push forward blockchain technology.
SBC bridges technical innovations and interdisciplinary collaboration on blockchain protocol development, cryptography, distributed systems, secure computing, crypto-economics, economic risk analysis, and more.
SBC ’25 will be hosted by Berkeley Center for Responsible, Decentralized Intelligence (RDI), and is co-organized with the Stanford Center for Blockchain Research (CBR) and The Initiative for Cryptocurrencies and Contracts (IC3).
