Joined a school environmental club at age 12
Quickly began to see the problem of our climate crisis.
Motivation to switch to Environmental activism: how marginalized communities are disproportionately affected by climate change.

U.S. Climate Strike:

Founded in January 2019
March 2019, 1.6 million students across 120 countries walked out of school to protest climate change. Isra Hirsi and others helped organize the U.S. walkout.
May 2019, organized hundreds more strikes across U.S.
Has helped organize many other local, regional, and national strikes since.
