Introduction

At the moment, it is not possible to carry out the targeted Mars trip due to some factors. For example, one of these factors is that astronauts have a lot of problems with food. As is known, astronauts can only consume nutrients that are dry and do not have air in them. But this is not mimicry, since the journey to Mars is very long. The best solution is for astronauts to produce their own nutrients on their own. But is that possible? If you do a little research into the past, you will see that this is possible. In 1995, with the joint work of NASA and the University of Wisconsin, the project of growing potatoes in space for long space flights was tried and achieved success. Based on this, we can safely say that people going to Mars will not go hungry. However, we cannot be so lucky when Mars is reached because we cannot easily keep a plant alive there because of the soil structure of Mars and the gases it contains.

Our Solution

The food resources of astronauts going to Mars are a very important element both from a psychological and physical point of view. It cannot be done because it is very costly and difficult to take food from Earth to a spaceship, which is the current system. That is why it should produce the astronauts' food sources themselves. At the same time, they have to do it quickly and adequately. In this project, we told you how astronauts can make their food faster and more effectively. Our solution is to put the Vegetables and coils that can create a magnetic field in a metal box to ensure the safety of the system.

The Veggie

Production System (Veggie) is a plant growth system developed and used by NASA in outer space environments. The purpose of Veggie is to provide a self-sufficient and sustainable food source for astronauts as well as a means of recreation and relaxation through therapeutic gardening. Veggie utilizes passive wicking to provide water to the plants as they grow. The seeds are glued into wicks, which are white flaps emerging from the top of a plant pillow via guar gums, a water-soluble natural polymer made from legumes called guar beans. Plant pillows are Teflon-coated black Kevlar, a strong synthetic fiber with a Nomex a synthetic fiber that is flame and heat-resistant bottom, which contains the growth media controlled release fertilizer and water. The water reservoir known as the root mat has a Nomex top, which wicks water from an interior water bag. The root mat Nomex, when in contact with the Nomex plant pillow bottom, allows water transfer to the pillows. Each plant pillow receives two or three seeds as a hedge against germination failure

What Is The Effect of The Magnetic Field on Plants?

When a magnetic field is applied to living cells, it accelerates the growth of cells when the magnetic field is small, and if it is given too much, it causes the cell to inhibit, completely preventing the growth of the cell. This causes both plants that cannot remove the magnetic field to be inhibited and eliminated and artificial selection to be made, and surviving plants to grow and produce more.
