FAQs: What is ALMA and what is the ALMA Parent Portal?
ALMA is a Student Information System. It is a secure system that schools can use for keeping student information, like contact information, parent contact information, grades, discipline information and more.
The parent portal allows parents to access their child’s grades, contact the child’s teachers, see missing assignments and more.
FAQs: What is ALMA Start and how do I make an account?
ALMA Start is a paperless system for submitting official school forms and submitting changes for your school’s ALMA Student Information System. It is a secure system that schools can use for updating student information, like contact information, parent contact information, permission forms for internet and more. It is another ALMA account but in order to function it gets connected to your ALMA parent portal.

FAQs: Why are we using ALMA/ALMA start?
ALMA Parent Portal is a valuable tool for schools to keep organized information on students and their learning. It is also a powerful communication tool for the school, teachers, parents and students. It is helpful in allowing parents to see their child’s academic process regularly and not need to wait for the end of a term.
ALMA Start is valuable for keeping accurate information, and contact information for the student and parents. Handwritten forms can be difficult to type into a database, leaving room for errors. It also is challenging to manually keep on top of changes of email addresses, phone numbers or emergency contacts. This system allows parents/guardians to review this important information for better accuracy.
FAQs: How do I get an ALMA Parent Portal account?/Do I have an ALMA account? What is my username?
Contact the school to find out for sure. Typically, once a student is enrolled through your school’s preferred enrollment process, students and parents are entered into the ALMA System by the school. Once added to the ALMA system, every user will have an assigned username. Parent usernames are usually firstname.lastname (with a few exceptions of duplicates within our SAU). Please contact the school if you need username.
FAQs: How do I fill out/update my child’s forms in ALMA?
In order to do this you must have an active ALMA Parent Portal account AND have an ALMA Start account.
Once logged into a parent account, parents will be able to see student.. Clicking on this student will open the schedule and grades posted for that student.
