Automating Catia Tasks with DraftXpert:� A Step-by-Step Guide

First Create template drawing without�Dimensions to be used as the reference

Launch Catia and open the template drawing linked to the IPT or IAM file you want to automate. �Make sure the template drawing doesn’t includes any dimensions

Now launch DraftXpert. Select the folder containing the IPT or IAM files you want to automate, �and choose the destination folder where the generated drawings should be saved

Select the files you want to automate.� You can also deselect any files you don’t want to include.�Then click "Execute" to start the automation process

You will see the entire process displayed in this window, including a detailed report of the drawings created, �the exact time each drawing was generated, and any errors that may occur.

Conversion Process:�As shown in the screenshots, you can convert files such as CatDrawing, Catpart, and Catproduct to various formats. �First, select the folder where the source files are located, then choose the destination folder where the converted files will be saved. �After that, select the specific files you want to convert, choose the desired output format, and click "Execute.�" The selected files will be converted in bulk automatically.

Renaming Process:�To rename files in bulk, �start by selecting the input folder containing the original files and then choose the output folder where the renamed files will be saved.� You can select specific files and preview the changes by clicking "Load Files to Preview.“� DraftXpert allows you to add prefixes, suffixes, or replace specific words—all in bulk. �Once you're ready, simply click "Execute" to apply the changes.
