Freshman Year Requirements: Core Classes

  • English: English 9 or Honors English 9 (watch for summer reading!)

  • Math: by teacher recommendation

  • Social Studies: World Studies, Honors World Studies, AP European History

  • Science: Physical Science, Honors Physical Science (must maintain eligibility through 8th grade math grades)

  • Health- one semester required in 9th grade
  • Physical Education- two semesters (ideally before the end of sophomore year)
  • Consider taking a world language if interested in Honors Diploma
    • We offer German, French, and Spanish
  • Consider choosing electives that match career interests
  • Courses have many sections - do not try to pick the same classes as a friend

  • Sign up in early April - sessions fill up quickly!
  • Cost - $230
  • If you choose to take summer PE, choose another semester elective to replace that spot in your schedule (not guaranteed)
