What is the Cell Theory?

What is the Cell Structure (and functions)?

First of all, what are cells:

Characteristics?

Functions?

ALL living things have cells in them, without cells, living things wouldn’t exist. They are what makes living things.

Are small units that make up organisms. The basic building block of ALL living things. They are bound by a plasma membrane.

Living things?

Cells have lots of functions. They help us, and other living things sustain and grow. It helps them develop.

What is cell theory?

The 3 main cell theories are:

  • All living organisms are made of more than one cell
  • A cell is the basic structural and functional unit of living organism.
  • All cell arise from pre-existing cells.

Cell theory is a basic unit of life. All organisms both unicellular and multicellular are made of cells.

Cells are created by pre-existing cells. Cells reproduce and makes other cells.

Why is cell theory important?

Cell theory is important because cells form the basis of all life. And to understand other life forms, we must know the cell theory.

2. Cell Structure

(And their functions)

What is a cell structure?

The cell structure shows us the functions and the names of parts in the cells. They carry out life’s processes. The parts in the cell structure provide structure for the body and takes nutrients from food. These components can include of cell membrane, cytoplasm, ect.

Cell Structures

:)

There are two types of cell structures. There is the animal cell and there is the plant cell, and they both have different structures. Their characteristics are different.

HERE ARE THE 12 MOST IMPORTANT PARTS IN THE CELL STRUCTURE (IN OUR OPINION)

alex

12 of 28

Cytoplasm

Nucleolus

Functions of cell organelles

Golgi apparatus

Mitochondrion

Ribosome

Vacuole

Holds the cell together and protects the parts.

The cell brain. Controls the activities.

Process and package proteins. Kind of like a factory.

Generate most of chemical energy.

Repair damages, direct chemical processes.

Gel-like, stores water and gets rid of waste.

Each do one

Nucleus

Endoplasmic Reticulum

Functions of cell organelles (2)

Cell wall

Chloroplast

Lysosome

Microtubule

The central part, controls the cell activities.

Proteins and molecules move through this.

A structured layer surrounding the cells inside.

A plastid that conducts photosynthesis (foodstuffs).

Breaks down elements of living matter.

A tubular structure that is the number of cytoplasm cells.

Each do one

CONCLUSION:

Cell provides function and structure to all living things. Without them, living things wouldn’t even exist. Although they are miniature, they have a big compact for us. This is what happens in the living thing’ bodies.

No yelling out answers

Don’t rage please

We will have two groups.

Raise your hand if you want to answer.

It’s just a game.

How many cell theories are there any what are they?

There are 3 main cell theories

  • All living organisms are made up of more than one cell
  • A cell is the basic unit of living organisms
  • All cells are made up of pre-existing cells

19 of 28

What is the object that cell is similar to?

It is the block of a building.

20 of 28

What are cells?

Are small units that make up organisms. The basic building block of ALL living things. They are bound by a plasma membrane. All living things are made up of cells.

21 of 28

What are the important functions of cells?

They provide structure for the body, take in nutrients from food, convert those nutrients into energy, and carry out specialized functions.

22 of 28

What do they look like?

Cells come in different shapes—round, flat, long, star-like, cubed, and even shapeless. Most cells are colorless and see-through. They are small units.
