Clean your Computer

Device should be off.

Using the special cleaning wipe, you will clean the outside and inside of your device. Make sure to clean between your keyboard keys and trackpad. Please clean your screen as well.

BE CAREFUL NOT TO TURN ON YOUR DEVICE.

When finished leave your device open to dry thoroughly.

VILS Device Reminders

Don’t forget…these devices are brand new. You are the first student to receive your device.

IMPORTANT TO KEEP YOUR DEVICE SAFE:

  • In order to keep your Chromebook safe, it must be kept in its case when you aren’t using it
    • If you aren’t careful, your device could be damaged when it is in the case
    • Don’t ever throw or toss your device, even when it's in the case...it can still break
  • When you are at lunch, or nutrition be careful where you place your device:
    • Don’t sit on your backpack with your device inside
    • Don’t put your device on the ground
    • Be careful where you place your device
  • Don’t place your device on the floor at school and at home
  • You should never put anything on top of your device
  • Don't apply pressure to your device. Sometimes this can occur if your backpack is too full or it is at the bottom of your backpack (Remember your touchscreen is very sensitive)
  • Keep food and drinks away from your Chromebook and make sure your hands are clean. (Crumbs and liquids are very bad for your Chromebook and can cause it to stop working properly.)
  • Your VILS device should not leave the country on a vacation. You signed that you would never take your device outside of the United States.
