Concept & Background:

The “Why” : In an era where AI can generate images in seconds,

The Community Exhibit 2026 serves as a sanctuary for the “Human Touch”.

Objectives:

  • To celebrate the decade-long journey of student artists from Grades 9-12
  • To highlight “Historical Art” – pieces that carry personal and community stories that no algorithm can replicate
  • To foster appreciation for the physical process of creation, from the first sketch to the final installation.

Opening remarks on the value of student creativity.

"Behind the Brush" Tours

Artists lead tours explaining their manual techniques (brushstrokes, textures).

Live Skill Showcase

A dedicated classroom where students demonstrate hand-painting or sculpting

6:00 PM

Interactive Legacy Mural

Visitors add a hand-drawn mark to a shared community canvas.

The event lasts from July 31 - August 2 from 12pm - 7pm. During this time, photographers and videographers documents the highlights.

When event concludes, some pictures and videos will be complied into an montage highlighting the best moments.

  • Process Documentation: Instead of just filming the finished art, the team will film "work-in-progress" clips to show the labor behind each piece
  • Artist Interviews: Technical writers will record interviews with exhibitors discussing the emotions and hours spent on their work.
  • The "Humanity Montage": The final video montage will focus on the interaction between the visitor and the artist, emphasizing the community bond.
