Safety TrainingStation to Station (day 1)

2 of 8

Safety Culture

Safety Culture is the team’s attitude about safety.

Safety will always be our #1 priority.

The Safety Captain is your point-of-contact for quick safety questions. They will also keep an eye out for unsafe behavior, and will make recommendations if something can be done in a safer way.

If the safety captain or a mentor asks you to do something differently, listen to them.

Safety Basics

Slow down. Machines don’t have brains. Use yours.

Use common sense. Think about your plan before using a piece of equipment.

No horseplay, no running in the shop.

If you do not feel comfortable using a piece of equipment, do not use it.
