Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)
Amazing grace how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now I'm found
Was blind, but now I see
Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)
'Twas grace that taught
my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed
Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)
My chains are gone, I've been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy reigns
Unending love
Amazing grace
Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)
The Lord has promised good to me
His word my hope secures
He will my shield and portion be
As long as life endures
Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)
My chains are gone, I've been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy reigns
Unending love
Amazing grace
Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)
My chains are gone, I've been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy reigns
Unending love
Amazing grace
Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)
The earth shall soon dissolve like snow
The sun forbear to shine
But God, who called me here below
Will be forever mine,
will be forever mine
The Jesus Way
If you curse me, then I will bless you
If you hurt me, I will forgive
And if you hate me, then I will love you
I choose the Jesus way
The Jesus Way
If you're helpless, I will defend you
And if you're burdened,
I'll share the weight
And if you're hopeless,
then let me show you
There's hope in the Jesus way
The Jesus Way
I follow Jesus
I follow Jesus
He wore my sin, I'll gladly wear His name
He is the treasure
He is the answer
Oh, I choose the Jesus way
The Jesus Way
If you strike me, I will embrace you
And if you chain me, I'll sing His praise
And if you kill me, my home is heaven
For I choose the Jesus way
The Jesus Way
I follow Jesus
I follow Jesus
He wore my sin, I'll gladly wear His name
He is the treasure
He is the answer
Oh, I choose the Jesus way
The Jesus Way
And I choose surrender
I choose to love
Oh, God my Savior,
You'll always be enough
The Jesus Way
I choose forgiveness
I choose grace
I choose to worship,
no matter what I face
The Jesus Way
I choose the Jesus way
I choose the Jesus way
I choose the Jesus way
I choose the Jesus way
The Jesus Way
I follow Jesus
I follow Jesus
He wore my sin, I'll gladly wear His name
He is the treasure
He is the answer
Oh, I choose the Jesus way
The Jesus Way
I follow Jesus
I follow Jesus
He wore my sin, I'll gladly wear His name
He is the treasure
He is the answer
Oh, I choose the Jesus way
Prayer
The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father in heaven, may Your name be kept holy. May Your Kingdom come soon. May Your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us today the food we need, and forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us. And don't let us yield to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one.For the Kingdom and all the power and glory belong to You forever and ever. Amen.

Scripture Reading
Romans 2:17-29 (NLT)
Scripture Reading Principles
Romans 2:17-29 (NLT)
17You who call yourselves Jews are relying on God’s law, and you boast about your special relationship with him. 18You know what he wants; you know what is right because you have been taught his law. 19You are convinced that you are a guide for the blind and a light for people who are lost in darkness.
Romans 2:17-29 (NLT)
20You think you can instruct the ignorant and teach children the ways of God. For you are certain that God’s law gives you complete knowledge and truth. 21Well then, if you teach others, why don’t you teach yourself? You tell others not to steal, but do you steal? 22You say it is wrong to commit adultery, but do you commit adultery? You condemn idolatry, but do you use items stolen from pagan temples?
Romans 2:17-29 (NLT)
23You are so proud of knowing the law, but you dishonor God by breaking it. 24No wonder the Scriptures say, “The Gentiles blaspheme the name of God because of you.” 25The Jewish ceremony of circumcision has value only if you obey God’s law. But if you don’t obey God’s law, you are no better off than an uncircumcised Gentile.
Romans 2:17-29 (NLT)
26And if the Gentiles obey God’s law, won’t God declare them to be his own people? 27In fact, uncircumcised Gentiles who keep God’s law will condemn you Jews who are circumcised and possess God’s law but don’t obey it. 28For you are not a true Jew just because you were born of Jewish parents or because you have gone through the ceremony of circumcision.
Romans 2:17-29 (NLT)
29No, a true Jew is one whose heart is right with God. And true circumcision is not merely obeying the letter of the law; rather, it is a change of heart produced by God’s Spirit. And a person with a changed heart seeks praise from God, not from people.
Resurrection from Addictions
Our sins keep us away from loving God and others.Let’s ask God to give us heart of repentance and change our lives.
Romans 2:17-29
Bondage of Sin and Addiction
Sin - things that prevent you from doing the things of God–fulfilling your calling!
Addiction - habitual sin, idolatry that began from a lie, drive killer
If you refuse to do what is right, then watch out! Sin is crouching at the door, eager to control you. But you must subdue it and be its master.”Genesis 4:7 (NLT)
Dead people - Natural Man
Selfish - it’s all about meIsolates - Leave me aloneSeeks pleasure and serviceDoesn’t want to do muchI’m ok. I’m actually great!
1Once you were dead because of your disobedience and your many sins. 2You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil… (Eph 2)

Romans 7
Romans 2:17-23 (NLT)
17You who call yourselves Jews (Christians)... boast about your special relationship with him. 18You know what he wants; you know what is right... 19You are convinced that you are a guide for the blind and a light for people who are lost in darkness… 21…Why don’t you teach yourself? You tell others not to steal,
but don't you steal? 22You say it is wrong to commit adultery, but don't you commit adultery? 23You are so proud of knowing the law, but you dishonor God by breaking it.
Romans 2:29 (NLT)
29No, a true Jew (Christian) is one whose heart is right with God...And true circumcision (faith)…is a change of heart produced by God’s Spirit. And a person with a changed heart seeks praise from God, not from people. (Motivation and work)

The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
