Background

What: Mayflower Compact - A signed document by 41 members onboard the Mayflower Ship

Where- Plymouth, Massachusetts … Technically the men signed it onboard the ship before they came ashore

When- November 11, 1620

Who- Pilgrims, non-Puritans, and other families coming from England to the Colonies in America

Why- the purpose was to create some form of temporary self-government to maintain peace and order and avoid mutiny

3- Civil Body Politik means a government group created by the people or civilians

4- From time to time- civilians will meet to discuss matters, enact laws, choose leaders and address other conflicts as needed
