Why is it important

Gender Equality is important because some people can’t do some things just because their gender. Like some places females can’t work at some jobs.These are some jobs females can’t do around the world : polishing glass,driving buses,using tools and playing golf professionally.

Impact on people

Gender Equality, besides being a fundamental human right is essential to achieve peaceful societies with full human potential and sustainable development.

How it affects the world

Women and girls represent half of the world’s population and therefore also half of its potential.

Why kids should help

Eradicating gender issues means a world where women and men,girls and boys all enjoy equal rights, resources, opportunities and protections.

Why adults should help

Societies that value men and women as equal are healthier and safer.

How/when kids can help

Kids can help by not making fun of people going to a different school or what gender they are.

How/when adults can help

Adults can help to talk to other people even though they are a different gender and you don’t need to make fun of people either.

Other facts

On average,women have just 75% of the same rights as men.Today,for every 100 men in leaderships positions globally, there are just 37 women. One in three women globally including in developed countries like the United States has experienced violence from an intimate at some time in her life.
