PROFESSIONAL BBQ CONTEST: There will be four separate categories in the BBQ Contest – 1. Chicken, 2. Pork Ribs (loin or spare), 3. Pork (Boston Butt/Picnic/Whole Shoulder) and 4. Beef Brisket] with $6,375 in cash prizes along with awards. 1st Place $300, 2nd Place $200, 3rd Place $125, 4th Place $100, and 5th Place $90 in each meat category in addition to Grand Champion $1,200, Reserve Champion (2nd place) $900, Reserve 3rd $475, Reserve 4th $300, Reserve 5th $240. To be in competition for Grand Champion and any Reserve awards, a team must have entries in all four categories! Trophies will also be awarded for 1st place through 5th in each category in addition to Grand Champion and all 4 Reserve places. Recognition will be given for 10 places.

ENTRY FEE: $250.00 to enter all categories and includes non-refundable camping fees for Thursday and Friday nights. ALL BBQ Team spaces are 20’ by 40’ with most sites 30 Amp Electricity. Some are 20 Amp. Some sites have water connections but fresh water is available to fill your fresh water tank. If you have a generator and wish to bring it along, you may. All applicants should pay by check, payable to Barron County Fair Association. On-line payment option COMING SOON! Mail checks to John Blaskowski.

1. Twenty pounds of ice will be provided to all Professional BBQ Teams.
2. Cooks may sell sauces and rubs.

THURS. May 30th
Early Arrival Available. (Please arrange with John Blaskowski @ 715-419-0272).
5:00 PM – Meet & Greet – Location to be announced before and during arrival.

FRI. May 31st
8:00 AM – Grounds Open for cooks to register and set up. Meat Inspection will be at time of check-in.
4:00 PM – Registration Closes. (Contact John Blaskowski if unable to meet this timeframe)
4:15 PM – Cooks Meeting in Youth Building
5:00 PM – Pot Luck Dinner. Bring a dish to pass. We supply beverages and dessert.
11:00 PM – Quiet time begins on Fairgrounds.

SAT. June 1st
7:00 AM – All Quiet Ends. FREE “Coffee & Donuts Morning Wake Up” at Youth Building.
10:00 AM – Judges Check-In @ Youth Building
10:30 AM – Judges Meeting at Youth Building
12:00 Noon – Judging Begins – YOUTH BUILDING
11:55 – 12:05 – Chicken Entry Due
12:25 – 12:35 – Pork Rib Entry Due
12:55 - 1:05 – Pork Entry Due
1:25 – 1:35 – Beef Brisket Entry Due
4:00 PM – Awards Ceremony – Heffernan Stage
