Wiogora Staff Scholar Application 2019
PLEASE READ EVERYTHING CAREFULLY. THIS IS NOT YOUR STANDARD APPLICATION TEXT!
AUTOFILL PROGRAMS MAY SUPPLY INACCURATE INFORMATION, SO PLEASE CHECK ANY AUTOFILLED FIELDS FOR ACCURACY!
Wiogora is great fun for kids of all ages (even those of us who call ourselves "adults"). Our highly successful summer program is run mostly by volunteers. All people at Wiogora are learners, or scholars. We distinguish adult volunteers and ELFS staff as "staff scholars" and those under 18 (who are not ELFS) as "scholars" or "young scholars." There are a few volunteer positions with stipend that require more training and commitment. These positions are offered to returning eligible applicants first. All staff scholar volunteers get discounts for their children and a free T-shirt - plus the opportunity to make magic come alive!
All Wiogora Staff Scholars must complete a new application each year so that we are sure to have correct and updated information for everyone. We use this information to make contact lists, schedules and more.
Adults can volunteer for just a few days or hours, or for the whole two weeks. We also need people before and after the program dates to help with set-up and take-down of our "castle."
If you are new to Wiogora and are unsure about which roles would work best for you, consider being a Guide or one of our support staff. Guides create their Wizarding World character, attend training sessions, and experience Wiogora classes with young scholars. They help get groups from place to place and model enthusiastic participation. They get to know each young scholar in their group & help them have the best experience possible.
After you submit this application form, you will be contacted by Headmagister Veralyce Gibbons (Nan Gibbons) or a member of the Wiogora Council for an interview.
All staff must pass a criminal background check and go through mandatory staff orientation and safety training.
Some times are subject to change.
