#rtmsQOTW Is it ok to use the "n word" in art?
Last week, police found that the "n word" had been spray painted on the front gates of Lebron James's front gate of his LA home. Lebron James was visibly shaken by this act which was widely considered a racial slur.

Some Rap, hip hop artists, comedians, and artists frequently use the "n word" in their art (songs, comedy shows, visual art, etc.). This use of the "n word" in the artistic forum is not viewed as racist to those artists. In fact, some believe the use of the "n word" is empowering.

Have you ever asked yourself why the "n word" is perceived differently in these two situations?
