Visiting Manaiakalani Schools 2018
The Manaiakalani Cluster of 13 schools are offering 3 days of Professional Learning in 2018 for educators who would like to learn more about our schools, our pedagogy and our community. They will be appropriate for BOT members and other supporters (commercial and philanthropic), but not tailored for children.
These will be whole day events hosted at the Manaiakalani Education Trust offices in the heart of our Tamaki community.
80 Tripoli Road - part of Sommerville Special School.
Official start time is 9.00am, and coffee will be available from 8.30am
Conclusion at 3.00pm, followed by informal time.
The programme for the day follows this format:
Welcome by young people representing each of the 13 Manaiakalani schools
Overview of the Manaiakalani Programme and where future focused learning is heading in our schools in 2018
Visit to a Manaiakalani School
Facilitated question and reflection time
We recommend people from out of Auckland consider coming the night before. Waipuna Hotel is five minutes drive from the venue.
