Nomination for The Frederick Center "Ally of the Year" Award
Each year The Frederick Center honors an ally of the central Maryland LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer) community via the "Ally of the Year" award. An ally is someone from outside the LGBTQ definition that supports and/or advocates on behalf the LGBTQ community. It can be a service provider, a teacher, a parent, a government official, or any non-LGBTQ citizen that goes out of their way way to support, educate, link, organize, or provide outreach to the LGBTQ community. TFC Board members are not eligible to receive this award.
The deadline for nominations is October 26, 2013. The Frederick Center Board will consider all nominations and will select the 2013 Ally of the Year at the November 14, 2013 board meeting. The award ceremony will take place in January.
