“Without hope there is no action. Without action, there is no hope.”
Thank you for reaching out to California Prison Focus, which has now merged with KAGE Universal. CPF/KAGE is a volunteer-based organization. Our mission is to expose and end human rights abuses against incarcerated people in California by acting in solidarity with and elevating the voices of those most impacted.
Volunteers (aka Artivists) assist with everything from responding to letters received from people behind the walls, helping with database input, fundraising, event coordinating, community outreach, direct actions and more.
To become familiar with what we do and to get involved, join us at our first Tuesday of the month Artivist Meeting (6:30 pm - 7:30 pm). See the
prisons.org calendar for details.
We encourage potential volunteers to train/educate yourselves on the issues we are facing by reading recent issues of our quarterly newspaper, Prison Focus, or our new Zine, Unkage'd Slave: 24 Hours Ago, all of which can be found on our website.
Please fill out the following and help us get to know you. Several questions are included that will help us to track the demographics of our volunteers. These questions are 100% optional. We look forward to meeting you!
