At present time, a 2.5% commission is collected by the Livestock Committee, from livestock exhibitors who sell their animals at the livestock auction. That commission is used to pay for certain items, such as thank you pictures for buyers, and to cover any other incidentals which may occur. Do you think the commission should be raised to 3% to cover additional items which may be needed? (the average commission collected in 2020 was $52 per head sold, at 2.5%. If the fee were increased to 3%, the average commission would have been $63) *

At present time, there are no fees for entering livestock and indoor exhibits in to the fair. If the fair board started to collect fees for entries, fees could go towards greater prizes (trophies, buckles, best of show, etc.) Premiums would still be paid out at $5 Blue, $3 Red, $1 White, as well as champion pays.
