This is a terrific way to get involved in whatever way you feel comfortable and get an introduction into how we run our board. We are very open to new ideas and would love to hear how you feel our organization can best serve the LGBTQ+ community.
Pride Committee
- Assist with city and county permitting
- Recruit community partners and vendors
- Register/manage volunteers
- Recruit performers, speakers, and artists
- Plan food and drink
- Plan activities for kids
- Plan the afterparty
- Create/acquire decorations
Marketing Committee
- Manage SVPC social media accounts
- Create social media content: videos, images, articles
- Create graphics for SVPC
- Assist in advertising SVPC events
- Assist in managing the SVPC website
- Design print media
- Create social media invitations
- Design email blasts
Fundraising Committee
- Communicate with previous and potential donors
- Plan fundraising events
- Solicit in-kind donations
- Apply for grants
- Identify LGBTQ+ Businesses and Organizations for our annual directory
Scholarship Committee
- Outline scholarship social media advertising with the Marketing Committee
- Review submissions and advise the board about potential winners
- Reach out to local high schools to advertise the scholarship program
- Work with marketing to share scholarship recipients
