GCA Zine Participation Form
Please fill out this form if you're interested in participating in our zine-making project! We'll mail you some paper to get started along with a return envelope. The plan is to complete the zines over the next couple of months so we can celebrate them and have a gallery showing at our next in-person conference in 2026! We'll be in touch with more guidance and an invitation to join us for a virtual open studio hour to answer any questions and help with brainstorming.

If you are interested in participating in the GCA Zine Competition, you must return your Zine by December 31st.

What is a Zine?
A zine is a small, self-published booklet that’s used to share personal stories, artwork, opinions, or niche topics -- a creative, DIY-style publication that gives people a platform to express themselves. Zines can be about anything—ours will be related to Gaucher (of course!) —and are meant to be shared, swapped, and celebrated. You can draw, collage, paint... whichever medium speaks to you the most.  :)

Contest Artwork Release Form:

By submitting an entry (“Artwork”) to the Gaucher Zine Project (“Project”), hosted by the Gaucher Community Alliance (“GCA”), you, as a participant (“Artist”), accept for yourself or, if applicable, as the parent/guardian of an Artist, the following terms:

1. I grant GCA the non-exclusive rights to use my Artwork in digital or hard copy format for advertising, promotional, educational, exhibiting, and/or any other purposes GCA deems appropriate.

2. I understand that submitting to the Project will not affect my own rights to, and ownership of, my Artwork.

3. I certify that my Artwork is my own. No other individuals or parties own or have obtained copyright to my Artwork. The permissions being granted do not violate any prior agreements I have made with anyone else.

4. I agree that my Artwork, in GCA’s sole discretion, may be posted online at the Project website and/or any other website or platform determined by GCA, for the public to view.

5. I acknowledge that I have read and agree to this Artwork Release, and if selected for special recognition or features, I may be asked to provide additional confirmation.
