The Arkansas Museums Association is planning its 2019 Annual Conference, which will be held at the Arts and Science Center of Southeast Arkansas in Pine Bluff March 26-28, 2019. AMA provides a unique and stimulating environment for a diverse array of individuals and institutions to meet and learn from each other, sharing their expertise, building relationships, and increasing professionalism. The goal of the conference is to support and nurture the museum community through a mix of speakers as well as workshops, presentations, and discussions. Conference sessions typically include practical, informative presentations and in-depth discussions, showcasing examples of projects and initiatives that are relevant to museums in Arkansas. AMA members take ownership in the conference experience as presenters, speakers, panelists, discussion facilitators, and workshop leaders.
This year, the AMA conference theme is "Walk the Line." Every day museums and museum professionals "walk the line" - striking a delicate balance between opposing viewpoints and different priorities in a variety of situations. Join us at AMA 2019 in Pine Bluff to explore how you can find balance within your profession and for your institution. While we encourage proposals that reflect that concept, it is not a requirement for submission.
