Flint River Environmental Leaders Youth Council supports young leaders and builds youth-adult partnerships to increase environmental understanding and promote community action for the protection of our natural resources and communities. The 20 member Youth Council was established in 2022, is youth-led, and coordinated is supported through the Flint River Watershed Coalition in partnership with the Great Lakes Stewardship Initiative Discovering PLACE and Michigan State University Extension 4-H.
Thirteen (13) are positions on the Youth Council are available for 2023-24. Applications are DUE by Nov. 1, 2023. Success applicants will be notified by Nov. 7, 2023.
The program will begin with a Kick Off Event for new members on Saturday, November 18, 2023 from 10am - 2pm at Mott Park Clubhouse, Flint, MI and will continue through early summer 2024.
