GET GRITTY Teen Board Application•8th-11th Grade Girls
Hi! We hope you’re having a good day. Here is the application for GET GRITTY Cleveland 2020 Teen Board. We will accept applications through October 6. If you are in 8th-11th grade, you can apply!
This year, we are excited to announce our new partner, University Hospital Rainbow Babies and Children and together, we look forward to putting together a very worthwhile and engaging event. To get you excited, this year, the event will be centered around the theme, "Mind, Body, Heart." There will be movement, discussions, and fun interactive activities all centered around mind and body wellness as the foundation for action and leadership. We will also hear from some of Cleveland's interesting female leaders in business and in our community and their gritty journey. Also, this year we are excited to open the event attendance to include Juniors (11th graders).
If you have any friends that would be interested in applying, please share the link with them! We would really appreciate it.
Before you start the application, please read these two links to learn about The GRACEDBYGRIT Foundation and about last year’s event, GET GRITTY Cleveland 2019.
Here are the roles and responsibilities of a teen board member:
♥ Social media marketing is extremely important to get people excited about attending.
- We will make it easy by providing the content for the posts, you will just need to share it!
♥ Inviting and motivating friends, classmates, and teammates to attend the event is crucial so that we can have a diverse group of girls join us on February 1.
♥ Fundraising to fund BOTH a scholarship, to be awarded to a Cleveland, female athlete who has overcome adversity, offered byThe GRACEDBYGRIT Foundation’s college scholarship fund, AND to fund adolescent programming at University Hospital Rainbow Babies and Children, is key to this year's responsibilities.
- We will provide you with a template and guide to help you raise money.
♥ Distributing flyers to your favorite places around town is easy and helps spread the word about the event.
♥Attend the event (for FREE), February 1, 2020, proposed program 9am-1pm.
★This will be a VERY manageable commitment, we will only be having one face- to- face meeting. Everything else will be done via email. We will also have a couple of group conference calls.
Here are some benefits:
♥ Sharpen your leadership skills
♥ Gain volunteer/work experience
♥ Get involved with your community
♥ Make a difference
♥ Attend the event for free
♥ This could count towards community service hours at your school
