JTA Conversations: Small Town Jewish Life in America
There are at least 5 million Jews in America. While many Jews tend to cluster in metropolitan areas with already-large Jewish populations, like New York, Los Angeles and Chicago, many others live outside those areas.

Meet the panelists:
Rabbi Rachel Isaacs is the Director of the Center for Small Town Jewish Life at Colby College, located in Waterville, Maine.

Caleb A. Guedes-Reed is a writer from the mountains of Appalachia, who is now living in sunny Sarasota, Florida. He is in the process of converting to Judaism and has worked for Hillel in Blacksburg, Virginia.

Andie Bond is a journalist, small business owner, and educator with a photography problem. Originally from St. Louis, she currently resides at The Center of the Universe in North Idaho's Silver Valley.

Lane Kadish is a Salt Lake City native and current Montana resident. He is passionate about supporting and advancing small town Jewish communities and served as a leadership fellow for the Center for Small Town Jewish Life.
