We ask this because sometimes it takes a few days to coordinate the publication process between editors and writers who are unfamiliar with the process. If you're new to this, no worries! We'll do our best to help you figure it out. Just keep an eye out for our emails.

By submitting works to Midnight Mosaic Fiction, you agree that it is original, of your own composition, and that you have all the relevant rights to do so.

If your work is accepted, you agree to give Midnight Mosaic Fiction first serial electronic rights to your work and non-exclusive electronic and print rights. You are agreeing to let us archive your work on our website and to include it in future publications and anthologies. Your work is yours, but we will continue to have the right to share it.

If your piece has been previously published elsewhere, you agree that you have informed us and given Midnight Mosaic Fiction the right to republish, reprint, and archive the work (and that you have the right to do so).

All other rights revert to the author upon publication.

If you publish the work elsewhere in the future, we ask that credit be given to Midnight Mosaic Fiction for first publication.

In the event that we choose to migrate your work to a new website or publish it a print or digital anthology, we will make every effort to contact you prior to migration. You agree that you have provided your best contact information in this form. Should you desire to remove your work from our publication, you must notify us in writing at MidnightMosaicFiction@gmail.com and receive an affirmative response from us to ensure your work will not be moved to any other site or published in an anthology. Our agreement to remove your work from our archives and not republish it in the future is NOT retroactive. If it has already been published in an anthology, for example, this cannot and will not be undone. It is best that you only submit work you are willing to allow us to continue to share.
