Petition:
Appeal to rescue Persons with disabilities in Gaza
In response to the appeals of the international solidarity Campaign with visually impaired persons in Gaza Palestinian Association of visually impaired persons and Gaza Forum for the visually impaired , we, the undersigned, call on human rights bodies, organizations, and activists—especially those concerned with persons with disabilities—to take immediate action to rescue and protect people with disabilities in Gaza Strip from Israeli aggression. Tens of thousands of Palestinians have been permanently disabled, other thousands of persons with disabilities have been murdered, and deprived from their fundamental rights, including the right to life, food, water, save shelter and freedom of movement, Furthermore, from health, rehabilitation technical aids, and education services. Meanwhile dozens of institutions providing services to them have been deliberately demolished .
We call upon all relevant stakeholders to intervene immediately and take the following actions:
1. Pressure Israel by all means to stop its atrocities and genocide in the Gaza Strip.
2. Prosecute Israeli politicians and military personnel who have been involved in causing violations against persons with disabilities.
3. Organize a relief and support campaign to rescue persons with disabilities and provide them with the necessary livelihoods and services.
4. Provide institutions working with persons with disabilities with the necessary resources to reactivate them.
5. Ensure access to rehabilitation services and aids for persons with disabilities in Gaza.
6. Establish an international emergency body to monitor the rights and conditions of persons with disabilities in the Gaza Strip.
