Hailing from Toronto, Alexa (Class of 2013) is majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and a minor in Communications. She is pursing a career in health communications with intern experience at Weber Shandwick, APCOWorldwide, and two Canadian non-profits. She has hands-on experience developing and maintaining media lists, preparing daily media monitoring reports, conducting research, writing press releases, pitching media, planning social media outreach, and coordinating events. Alexa is president of GW Women in Business where she is working to create a more recognizable presence for GWWIB on campus and within the Washington business community. She also plans on increasing the number of student members and expanding the organization’s networking opportunities. She enjoys sharing her experiences learning from the intelligent women of GW Women in Business.
