Please be sure that you are a current BAYA member in good standing BEFORE you submit your grant proposal. If you are not a BAYA member go to https://www.baya.org/memberinfo to renew or to join. Grant proposals will be accepted through April 15, 2019. The grant and check will be awarded in mid May 2019.
You will be able to use the grant for any project you wish including presenters, supplies and giveaways. (This is the rare occasion when a grant has very few limitations.)
Please note that the grant winner will be required to give a 10-minute presentation about their program during a regularly scheduled BAYA Meeting. BAYA meetings take place all over the Bay Area, the fourth Tuesday of every other month. Check the website for dates and locations. If you are not a current member, please consider the possibility of attending a meeting before you apply.
The check will be made out to you, your library institution, your library's Friends group, or your library's Foundation. Please be sure that you are able to receive funds granted to you before you apply.
