It is with respect that we acknowledge we are on the unceded territories of the Coast Salish peoples, including the territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwxwú7mes ̱ h (Squamish), and Səlílw̓ ətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh).

Out of respect for the rights of aboriginal peoples, it is our collective responsibility to recognize our colonial histories and present-day duties to honour, protect and sustain this land.

In doing so, we acknowledge the inherent rights and title of Aboriginal Peoples in implementation without qualification of the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP), and our support for the 94 calls to action by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.

We look to our indigenous community members for guidance, as this work needs to be done with understanding and contemplation.
